KIND WORDS FROM OUR CUSTOMERS
"Stop surfing the internet. Start surfing with Surf City! We booked surfing lessons with Surf City and I can not begin to tell you how amazing these people are. We had two instructors for three of us and our group ranged in age from 21 to 65 years of age. They made it so much fun. They supply the equipment and the smiles. Falling off of the surfboard was not nearly as traumatic as I feared, and the thrill of actually riding a wave in was exhilarating. I can not praise them enough. They also do a surf camp for the younger kids. I see them out there in the morning having fun. Also a great place to shop for some cool surf vibe clothing and accessories."

WHO WE ARE
Myrtle Beach born Chal Lester is the proud owner of Surf City Surf Shop. Chal graduated from college with a B.A. in Psychology, and started employment in the surf industry working his way up from the bottom to the top. Through the years, he has experienced everything; from manufacturing ding repair kits in Florida, to creating, producing, and selling his own surf wear clothing brand. Surf City has always been Chal’s home shop, and a big part of his life ever since he first began surfing in 1980 and it still is. Chal and his family currently own and operate Surf City Surf Shop today, and hopes, like him, you will make it your home shop too.
Gary Began working at Surf City Surf Shop in June of 1986, where he began fixing dings in a screened in porch in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Gary shaped his first surfboard blank in 1989, which lead to the birth of his current label: Kinetic Surf Designs, in 1993. Tens of thousands of surfboards, SUPs, skimboards and even a few bodyboards have G. Wilson's name on them; whether he shaped the board himself or repaired it, he has pulled enough masking tape to stretch the length of the Long Bay.
